Health Insurance
In this unit we discovered some of the issues of health insurance and some of it can be really understandable but also has some disadvantages. Such as when health insurance is beneficial to the might risk it is just plain stupid for the low risk people to join the plan. However one question remains of mine which is why doesn’t the world come together and think of a logical way to solve this problem. But that isn’t as important as what I did learn which is using mathematics to find what health insurance might cost for a person. I have learned from this unit that insurance companies can sometimes be really greedy and I can say yes or no to the insurance company yes or no based on logical solid math. This is all really my strength if I just have the numbers in front of me and it has a brief description on what to do. Where in groups recognize this and I often have to do a lot of the work but I am happy to do so. And something that I want to get better at is word problems because that is the real world we live in as opposed to the strait question. This I am positive will affect me forever because I would know what to do when I am choosing a health insurance company.
Patterns
Most of what we did during math one in finding patterns. The title of this is kind of self explanatory but into more detail the general overview is finding the patterns ect, ect. Some of the smaller subjects are In and Out tables, Summation, Consecutive sums, Parent and Child Functions, Graphing Families, Using Logic in basic patterns, five POW’s, Function transformations, finding equations from visual representations, and six brain exorcises called Droodles.
